WE'RE SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE!

We know visiting a new church can be a bit overwhelming and intimidating sometimes.

That said, we are convinced that no matter what walk of life you come from or the present

circumstances you may be facing, God loves you. We want to come alongside you as you check out Open Door. Our hope is to connect with you, hear your story, answer any questions you might have & tell you what this church family is all about.

. We host Newcomers Gatherings throughout the year and would like to invite you to sign up for

one as a next step. You will find a link below to join one of those gatherings. See you there!

In the meantime, we welcome you to check out our beliefs, vision, mission and values here! And, if you have any questions or would like to connect with someone, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email at info@thedoor.org.

sunday mornings - what to expect

We get it! Walking into a new church can be really intimidating. This section will give you an idea of what to expect when you come to visit. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@thedoor.org.

  • tell me about the Sunday gathering

Our Sunday Gathering starts at 10AM. Each gathering is about 70-85 minutes in length, includes Bible-based teaching, and music. Bring your Bible / pen / notebook to take notes. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month and is open to everyone.

After the Gathering hang out in the Gathering Place (the large lobby space outside the sanctuary) to meet some new friends. You can also stop by the Welcome Kiosk (the desk-like counter in the center of that space) to learn more about what's happening around here and get your questions answered.

Basically what you need to know is we take God seriously – ourselves, not so much!

  • what's available for kids?

We have opportunities for birth-high school. Head to our check-in kiosks in the Gathering Place (the large lobby space) and our Next Generation volunteers would be happy to help you get your kids situated! You can find out more about what we offer on our Next Generation page

Sometimes when you’re visiting, it’s nice to keep your kids close by. People of all ages are welcome in our Sunday gatherings. There are also two family rooms in the back of the sanctuary you can use. One is for nursing mamas and their little ones, the other is equipped with some toys and comfortable chairs and is a great space for toddlers. You will be able to hear the service in both locations, while not having to worry about disturbing those around you.

  • Can i receive prayer?

We believe that prayer is a powerful tool and we would be honored to pray with and for you. Trained Prayer Team members are available to pray with you after the Sunday Gathering at the front of the sanctuary. Look for them next to the stage wearing a purple lanyard

You can also leave a message on our prayer line 763.416.5887 ext. 1374. If you want a callback make sure to leave your name and phone number in the message.

  • will there be coffee?

YES! Who doesn't like a good cup of coffee to sip on during the service? We partner with a local roaster (Driven Coffee) to bring you fresh brewed, delicious coffee! Feel free to bring your coffee into the service with you...just make to sure to grab a lid.

We ask for a $1 donation per cup but if you don't have a buck...don't sweat it! We'd love to buy your coffee. All the donations made to our Coffee Cart above our expenses are donated to one of our mission partners.

  • Is there a place i can get my questions answered?

Yes! That's what we call the Welcome Kiosk (the big desk-like thing in the middle of the lobby). Our friendly volunteers would love to meet you, answer any questions you may have and help you figure out what your next step might be. Look for teal 'Welcome' lanyards. Lost & found is also located there. Or you can email info@thedoor.org with any questions you might have.

  • What should i wear?

Dress comfortably. Open Door has always been a "come as you are" church. You'll see people dressed in many different things. Jeans or ties are equally welcomed.
